It’s Valentine’s day and why not make today the day you start showing your heart some love! Your heart will be happy and so will the ones that love you! Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the U.S. and a major cause of disability. According to the Centers for Disease Control, in 2010 an estimated 785,000 Americans had a new heart attack, and 470,000 had a recurrent attack.
My grandma died of a heart attack at the age of 53, which puts me at a higher risk for developing heart disease -- which means I have to try harder and make sure I’m taking care of myself and making healthy choices.
